Vitreous Silica is the glassing modification of silcondioxide with a purity of 99.9% in the transparent form and is called fused silica. All our silica ware products are made out of fused silica. Fused silica is completely unaffected by acids such as sulpuric, nitric and hydrochloric, however, it can be of fected by hdrofluric acid and at high temperatures also by phosphoric acid. Hot alkalies and certain metallic oxides also react on fused silica.
